BLOG kate-1Peteb.jpgWow. Kate Moss has been hanging out with Jamie Hince for so long now I'd half forgotten about her ill-fated romance with Pete Doherty. The man himself has changed all that though, with a little help from his guitar. Have you checked out the video he's posted on YouTube yet?

If you take away the images, the song - which, fittingly, he's called Bohemian Love - is sooo pretty! Definite 'just-broken-up-with-my-boyfriend' material. But it's been a year now, Pete. And what's with all the pictures of Kate - especially the one at the end where the two of them are kissing? I definitely get the impression that while she's moved on with her life, he's still dwelling over what might have been.

Better news for Pete's pal Amy Winehouse though who - despite her much talked about elbow incident with a fan - put on a fantastic performance at Glastonbury. Hopefully a sign things are getting back on track.

I've had to rethink my opinion of Nicole Kidman since reading about her hand delivering that DJ's lunch order this week. I have to admit I've always thought her... well... a teensy bit remote and overly dignified - not the sort of girl you could have a good giggle with after a couple of glasses of wine on a Friday night.
BLOGnicole-keith-b.jpg
But in fact it seems she's pretty cool! I bet the last thing that DJ thought would happen when he asked her to pick up a salad for him was that she'd actually oblige - and hand deliver it to the studio, too.

OK, so she was on her way there anyway - to meet up with her (very handsome) husband. But most stars of her stature have 'people' to do things like pick up their lunch - never mind somebody else's lunch!

While Nicole and Keith seem blissfully happy in the run-up to the arrival of baby Urban, if it's true the news about Madonna and Guy going their separate ways is very sad.

wimbledon-eaton-b.jpgI'm the first to admit that while I love catching up with pals at the polo or the races, my mind's not always on what's happening on the field. That's certainly not the case at Wimbledon this year, though.

How fab that we've got so many players flying the flag this year for Britain! It makes the whole thing much more exciting somehow, and means I'll be doing more than hunk-spotting from the sidelines this year!

I really hope Anna and Chris - I love that taped wing-mirror story! - make it through to the next round, but if not they've still done themselves proud. I know I'd be shaking in my boots if I had to face Venus Williams, so good on Anna Keothavong for going in there determined to win. Bravo!

Sporting matters aside, can you believe the guests at Nelson Mandela's party last night?! Talk about an A list who's who. Even I was impressed. It was a case of where to look first, there were so many magical moments: Emma Thompson having a girlie natter with Oprah Winfrey; Bob De Niro, Will Smith, Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker having a catch up; and Sir Elton on his usual charming form.

I haven't seen so many Hollywood big guns partying together since the Oscars. What a great night!

blog kylie-olivier-paris-1b.jpgSo, what's going on with Kylie and the gorgeous Olivier, then? I'm getting excited a reconciliation might be on the cards! I know Kylie herself has been insisting for months that they're nothing more than friends. But did you see their body language when they had lunch in Paris yesterday? Soooo couple-y! I certainly don't act like that with any of my exes. And never in a million years would I invite one of them to grab a bite to eat with my parents and best pals. Argh. Just the thought of that is positively excruciating...

Then again, the two of them have been through a lot together. And Olivier does own Kylie's most-favourite dog in the world. They have to remain on good terms so she can still see her four-legged friend Sheba! Either way, it's lovely to see her looking so happy.

And these interior photos of Prince Charles' Welsh cottage? I wanted to book a holiday there before I'd even seen the inside, but now I'm definitely going to try and get in on the action. It's gorgeous! Just think of the fabulous parties that could be thrown in that massive hall! I hope pets are allowed to stay, too, Cavalli would have a field day I with 192-acres of land to run around in.

It was only yesterday I was complaining there was set to be a lack of fashion excitement at this year's Wimbledon. But after cuddling up with Cavalli to watch the highlights reel last night I take it all back. BLOG SERENAwimbledon-day1-2-b.jpg

Serena's raincoat? Fab! (Let's hope she hasn't jinxed things with that, by the way - I for one have my fingers crossed for a sunny fortnight without rain stopping play every two minutes.) And today Maria Sharapova debuted a sheer blouse. Daring, but very stylish. Yay, seems there's going to be more for me to keep an eye on than the tennis after all!

I also noted that Charles and Camilla are going to be renting out their newly-renovated Welsh cottage when they're not using it. What an inspired idea. Imagine going away for a country minibreak and sleeping in the future king's bed! I'm tempted to book a weekend there myself.

So, it's Wimbledon fortnight again! I'm not heading down there myself until next week (can't wait!) but my fridge is stocked with strawberries and cream and I've been keeping a keen eye on the on-court action today.
BLOG sharapova-training-b.jpg
I have to admit though, I'm a bit disappointed by Maria Sharapova's decision to tone down her look and wear shorts. I always love her tennis outfits and was looking forward to seeing her inject some of her usual fashion flare to the ladies singles. What happened to the Swan Lake look, Maria? Bring it back!

Never mind, though. I've had my fashion fix for the day in the form of Kate Mara at the Edinburgh Film Festival. How gorgeous were the gold shoes she wore on the red carpet? And the metallic theme she had going on is bang-on-trend. Hats off to her for looking so fab and keeping her cool despite the torrential downpour. Every girl's worst nightmare!

Bit of a baby boom going on in celeb land at the moment, isn't there? It was only yesterday that Charlotte Church announced she's expecting her second bundle of joy (congrats to them both!) while Jamie Lynn was giving birth in the US. Angelina looks ready to become a mum again any second, Nicole Kidman is due next month while Minnie Driver's little one arrives in August. Gwen Stefani's pregnant, too, along with Tamsin Outhwaite, which means lots of fun celebrity baby names to look forward to this summer!

Don't you just love James McAvoy? If I got swept up in the world of Tinseltown premieres and parties, I'd like to think the very last thing on my mind would be sausages. But Scottish bangers are exactly what gorgeous James says he misses about his homeland. With all those delis and specialist stores in LA - not to mention the growing numbers of homesick ex-pats keen to purchase them - you'd have thought every type of sausages would be available there. Hmm, is this a possible entrepreneurial opportunity presenting itself? Or perhaps I could invite James round to my pad for bangers and mash next time he's in London - Anne-Marie's welcome, too, of course!

Hi everyone, I have to make this a flying entry via my Blackberry as I'm at Ladies Day. Couldn't miss it for the world, but simply had to share some of the incredible sights and remind you to keep a look out for them tomorrow.

There have been some truly outrageous hats as usual! Topping the list is an outsized blue cheese creation. Yes, seriously. A blue cheese hat! A close runner up - so far - was an interesting 'hysterical kitty-got-the-yarn' design. Perhaps not quite my cup of tea, but kudos to these ladies for their originality.

Anyway, my absolute favourite hat of the day (apart from mine, of course, and I must say people have been very complimentary) is Cilla Black's gorgeous, gorgeous red flower affair.

One can rely on the royals to give everyone a lesson in how it's done, though. Beatrice and Eugenie are looking stunning in simple white affairs while Autumn Kelly is bearing an eerie resemblance to her American namesake Grace Kelly in princess-style ensemble.

That's it for now, I'm off for another glass of champers. What a fabulous day!

girls-1b.jpgOh how I adore Royal Ascot! Glam royals, fabby outfits, and - this year at least - glorious sunshine! I picked out my beautiful cream straw Philip Treacy hat months ago, and was positively overjoyed when I saw I was in regal company in doing so. In the royal enclosure Eugenie, Bea and Zara were all wearing creations by the Irish genius, too. Very reassuring.

In fact I managed to score a fashion double with my satin wildflower print Stella McCartney shift dress. Two of the summer's top style trends in one! Must say I feel like the cat who got the cream today.

Of course the highlight of Ascot is yet to come. Tomorrow it's Ladies Day, and I'm more excited than a kiddy at Christmas at the prospect of all the celeb and fashion spotting I'm going to be doing. As for my outfit, I'm keeping it strictly under wraps - but I will say that my hat is a real eye catcher. I'm under strict instructions from Mother to tape all the TV coverage so I can try and spot myself when the day's over!

BLOG ben-affleck1-b.jpgWithout doubt my favourite story from today is Ben Affleck taking his little girl Violet to school on her first day, wearing a name tag reading 'Ben'. Who doesn't know who Ben Affleck is? He's Ben Affleck. He doesn't need a name tag! And if there were any doubts as to whether or not he was merely an uncanny film star lookalike, surely turning up with Jennifer Garner would give the game away immediately?

Anyway, how cute was he carrying little Violet around? He's gorgeous, rich, and great with children. The perfect man!

I want to add how pleased I am for Zara, too. OK, so there's eight years to go before London 2012 - but it's fab to see she's looking ahead and not dwelling on the fact she won't be competing at this year's Olympics. A win under her belt at this week's horse trials was probably just what she needed. Now that Jordan's taken up eventing, who knows, they might even end up competing against each other! Howe weird would that be?

We all know how much I love a good wedding. And I have to say Jamelia looked gorgeous in her lovely gown and flowing veil. But a bouquet of flowers in the colours of her new husband's former football club Mil Blog jamelia-1b.jpglwall? Gosh. I can't work out what I think about that. Is it a really touching tribute to Darren or is it just a bit... well... a bit much? What do you reckon? Either way, these two have been together for ages so fingers crossed this is a celeb match that will go the distance. They certainly make a beautiful couple!

And, as it was Father's Day yesterday (Happy Father's Day, dad!) I have to mention this... the man formerly known as Mr Spears has won his second Father of the Year award. His second! I remember when Britney fans across the globe were all convinced he was no good. How times change, eh? Congrats, K-Fed!

BLOG sarah-larson-1BLOGb.jpgI have to hand it to newly-single Sarah Larson. If I'd got used to life dating one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, swanning around the world all expenses paid and dividing my time between celebrity parties and luxury villas, I don't think I'd be handling my break up with as much dignity as she is.

Because instead of watching Bridget Jones on repeat with a comforting tub of ice cream and her duvet for company, Sarah's been getting out there and sussing out her career options. Not only has she been visiting modeling agencies, but she's also apparently in talks to front an ad campaign for a US clothing chain. Not bad for a former Vegas cocktail waitress! I suppose a few lucrative contracts could go part way to softening the blow of breaking up with gorgeous George...

I must mention Pixie's curfew, too. Is it just me, or is it a little hard to believe she has to be home by 11pm every school night? She's 17, famous, gorgeous, and been dubbed 'the coolest girl in London'! If it's true, then good on Bob for trying to keep his daughters in check - but somehow I think this story seems a little far fetched!

aggy.JPGYou've got to hand it to Agyness Deyn and Claudia Schiffer, they certainly know how to deliver a knock-out appearance on the red carpet. (Of course, being drop dead gorgeous must help somewhat!) I loved the way the two blonde bombshells were working their own individual styles at the Graduate Fashion Week bash.

Somehow I don't think I could get away with Aggy's slouchy knitted top and leather pants combo, although I thought she looked amazing. They don't call her model of the moment for nothing! I could easily see myself in Claudia's classic LBD, though.

I'm not so sure about the weird and wonderful creations on show across town at the Swarovski party. You'd need to be pretty fashion forward to wear that skeleton affair and I just can't imagine going out with my organs on display - even if they were all sparkly!

zara-toytown-b.jpgOh Zara, my heart goes out to you! How absolutely devastating that after all your hard work, training and preparation, you won't be riding in the Olympics this summer. Disappointed probably doesn't even begin to come close to describing what you're feeling at the moment.

With the same thing having happened four years ago, it must make the loss of this year's opportunity even harder to bear. All the more credit to her, therefore, that she's putting on a brave face and adopting a "these things happen" approach, while emphasising the UK still had a strong team.

I have to confess I wouldn't have been half as brave. My response would have been far more self-focused and emotional!

I guess it's unlikely that Toytown will be up for competing in the next Games, but I hope Zara gets to compete in London in 2012 - I'll certainly be keeping my fingers crossed for her.

cat-deeley-beckham-2b.jpgSo Mel B and Cheryl Cole are both in talks to replace Sharon on The X Factor are they? I admit they're not bad choices, but they wouldn't top my list. Who would? My favourite Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, of course!

Posh would be perfect for the job. While she does that moody thing for the cameras she's actually got a great sense of humour, as witnessed by her TV appearances. I mean, this girl is funny! Plus I think she'd be great at taking Simon Cowell down a peg or two.

On a different subject, I just have to share my updated wedding fantasy with you. After hearing about what happened on the Angels And Demons set this week, my dreams for my big day will never be the same again.

Picture the scene, I'm en route for the church in my stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and matching diamond-encrusted white satin Jimmy Choo slingbacks when I discover my path is blocked by a film crew. Oh no, I won't make it to the ceremony on time! Suddenly Johnny Depp comes to my rescue, stopping filming to take me by the hand and lead me to the steps of the venue where my Mr Darcy-esque love is waiting.

I can't imagine a better wedding day! Would it over-step the mark to ask Johnny to appear in the photos, too, do you think? And would the groom get jealous if I asked him to step out of the shot just for a moment so I could get one of Johnny and me alone? OK, OK, maybe this little daydream is getting a little out of hand - but it was delicious all the same!

nicole-keith-1b.jpgHow adorable is Keith Urban? My heart has just melted watching his transition from Mr Rock'n'roll country star to doting daddy-to-be! It's lovely that when a pack of music journos caught up with him backstage at an awards bash he started chatting away to them about baby clothes!

I can't blame him for being puzzled when one of the reporters told him the jumpsuit gift a fan had given was an 'onesie'. My reaction would have been the same! It's an American term it seems...

Keith's an Aussie, so he's unlikely to know the American word for a baby-sized one piece anyway. And I know he's a Tennessee dweller these days, but I can't imagine he's hung out much with the sort of people who sit and discuss baby togs.

Speaking of togs, have to say I'm quite excited by this Lindsay Lohan swap shop thingy. I adore hunting for vintage gear and as a result have loads of lovely pieces in the back of my wardrobe that I know I just won't wear again. So the concept is perfect for me. Can't wait to get down to Covent Garden and have a shufty at what's on offer - especially as it combines making space in my wardrobe with fundraising, both good causes as far as I'm concerned!

woody-allen-1b.jpgThe directorial genius is famed for making flicks on a tight budget - ruling out the possibility of working with the likes of Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman in the past. But wouldn't it be great if Woody could stretch the budget just once and treat us to the sight of him and the big guns in action together? I'd love to see either Bob or Dusty in one of his films.

He should, after all, have a rather tidy sum tucked away. After all, Match Point alone earned $62 million worldwide.

Or perhaps it's the actors who should be getting a dressing down? How sad that they turn down interesting, alternative projects because they can earn top dollar on a bland, blockbuster-by-numbers movie.

Surely acting is supposed to be all about the craft? And whatever happened to doing it just for love?

I've always had a soft spot for Prince Harry, so imagine my delight in finding we have the same taste in magazines! There he is, my favourite royal, clutching a copy of my favourite mag. Do you think he ever reads my blog...? How fab would that be?!
BLOG real prince-harry1.jpg
Anyway. Word is, he told patients at the hospital he was visiting that big brother Wills has come in for a bit of a ribbing from the rest of the Windsor clan over pictures in this week's issue of him in his sailor's uniform. But why? Is it that old 'every lady loves a sailor' chestnut? He looks seriously hunky if you ask me. Kate's one lucky lady!

OK, royal lust session over with, I must mention this new book about Carla and Nicolas. Oh la la! I'll have to dust off my French dictionary and pick up a copy next time I nip over to Paris for a spot of shopping... it certainly sounds like there'll be plenty to keep me awake on the return Eurostar.

lily-2b.jpgDid you see the photos of Lily Allen's new 'do today? I'm guessing you did as she wasn't exactly easy to miss. You've got to hand it to her, that girl is not afraid to push the envelope.

Personally I couldn't get away with doing anything so dramatic. I couldn't put my poor mum through the trauma of it for starters! On a celebrity like Lily, though, it's refreshing. It says: "I don't care what's mainstream - I follow my own style".

While she's not the first to go pink - Zandra Rhodes and Jonathan Ross' lovely lady have both got strawberry locks, too - I think it's incredibly brave of her to make such a bold statement. Especially when pop singers her age usually have a stylist deciding every detail of their image, right down to the colour of their fingernails.

And she did it herself, in her bathroom! I can't decide if that's pure punk, very brave, or just plain bonkers. Surely she could have afforded to get an expert on the job? Even Cavalli gets his hair clipped at a doggy salon!

Anyway, go for it Lily. With the Spice Girls winding down, someone's got to take up the Girl Power baton!

posh-cdfa4-a.jpgSo Posh is hanging out with Marc Jacobs, these days, is she? What I want to know is how does her former best fashion pal, Roberto Cavalli, feel about this? When did he disappear off the scene? And more to the point, how does he feel to see photos of his Spice chum hand-in-hand with another high profile designer?

Roberto made all those fabby stage costumes for the Spices' tour so I hope he's not now been consigned to the back of the wardrobe like last season's Chloe handbag. Could it be Becks' missus saw him getting pally with the Duchess of York last week and decided to get her own back?

The press is referring to Victoria as Marc's new muse. But I'm not sure how this muse thing works. Can you be a muse to more than one person at the same time? Or is like at primary school where you can only have one best friend, and if you break the rules you're not invited to their roller disco birthday party?

If that's the case then I'd like to offer my services to Mr Cavalli. Personally, I think I'd look great in one of your gorgeous creations - plus I'd actually smile on the red carpet. And you'd never need to doubt my devotion - after all, I even named my beloved pet after you. Surely that must count for something?

mtv-1b.jpgAccording to his MTV Awards speech Johnny Depp thinks he's not a funny guy. What!? Is this the same Johnny who had me in stitches in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, and decided to change his 'Winona Forever' tattoo to 'Wino Forever' after his romance with the actress played itself out?

Is he saying that all that humorous charm is simply an act? He's got the credentials to pull that feat off - three Oscar nods, a Golden globe a Screen Actors Guild etc - but I really hope he's not just putting it on. I can't think of him as anything other than the full package - handsome, funny, talented, caring, kind, perfect, dashing, gorgeous... oh, did I mention handsome already?

On a more sombre note, I can't sign off today without saying how desperately sad I was to hear about the death of the incredible Yves Saint Laurent. A tortured soul by all accounts, but a towering talent, too. He explored that whole Girl Power thing long before the Spices had even spotted that girl band ad. He revolutionised women's fashion and made the female tux a thing of seduction forever. Where would we have been without him?
