The directorial genius is famed for making flicks on a tight budget - ruling out the possibility of working with the likes of Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman in the past. But wouldn't it be great if Woody could stretch the budget just once and treat us to the sight of him and the big guns in action together? I'd love to see either Bob or Dusty in one of his films. He should, after all, have a rather tidy sum tucked away. After all, Match Point alone earned $62 million worldwide.
Or perhaps it's the actors who should be getting a dressing down? How sad that they turn down interesting, alternative projects because they can earn top dollar on a bland, blockbuster-by-numbers movie.
Surely acting is supposed to be all about the craft? And whatever happened to doing it just for love?
