I'm the first to admit that while I love catching up with pals at the polo or the races, my mind's not always on what's happening on the field. That's certainly not the case at Wimbledon this year, though. How fab that we've got so many players flying the flag this year for Britain! It makes the whole thing much more exciting somehow, and means I'll be doing more than hunk-spotting from the sidelines this year!
I really hope Anna and Chris - I love that taped wing-mirror story! - make it through to the next round, but if not they've still done themselves proud. I know I'd be shaking in my boots if I had to face Venus Williams, so good on Anna Keothavong for going in there determined to win. Bravo!
Sporting matters aside, can you believe the guests at Nelson Mandela's party last night?! Talk about an A list who's who. Even I was impressed. It was a case of where to look first, there were so many magical moments: Emma Thompson having a girlie natter with Oprah Winfrey; Bob De Niro, Will Smith, Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker having a catch up; and Sir Elton on his usual charming form.
I haven't seen so many Hollywood big guns partying together since the Oscars. What a great night!

Eaton - Out. Keothavong - Out. GUTTED!
Murray - still in. Go on my son!
