It's a lady's prerogative...

bransons-1b.jpgSo Holly Branson's decided to put medicine on hold to give working at Virgin a try. And why not, I say! Some might say that as a doctor she would have been helping a lot of people, this way she can hopefully help even more patients all over the country by advising on her father's bid to run these new GP polyclinics.

Her father has given her a great opportunity and I'm not surprised she's taken it up. Having made it into med school in the first place Holly's obviously an extremely bright girl and no doubt her hard-working attitude will be an asset to Virgin. Considering she could easily have been distracted by the socialite world of endless parties I'm impressed she knuckled down and got through five tough years of med school.

Her about-turn is also a testament to her strength of character. A lot of youngsters would have been worried about changing tack after going so far down one career route, though it's obviously a big help she's got the support of both parents behind her.

I really think Holly's made the best career move. And I mean, anything that improves the NHS has to be a good thing.
