Shock horror - Lembit Opik and Gabriella Irima have apparently put their engagement on hold. And I was still waiting for the Cheeky engagement party! I know they might not have been everyone's idea of a match made in heaven, but I was really hoping they'd make it - not just because I'm a true romantic at heart, but because I couldn't wait to see the wedding photos!I always thought it was really cute that Lembit said he loved Gabbi for who she was and didn't want her to change... Hope they manage to sort it out.
And Emily Blunt, who was so brilliant in The Devil Wears Prada, has split up with her boyfriend, too. Now that really came as a complete surprise. Spending so much time apart was part of the reason given.
I know from experience long distance relationships are downright difficult, but they're not impossible. Just look at Salma Hayek and her billionaire fiancé - they manage perfectly fine - very impressive considering he's based in Paris and she lives in LA!
